COMPANY OVERVIEW

Tristan launched his first strategic buy-and-build platform investment vehicle, the Human Capital Investment Group, in 2007. The platform started with Eden Brown recruitment and built to include 16 brands, covering sectors from nursing to construction and with revenues of more than £275m and EBIT of £14m at time of exit.

Tristan managed this investment from cradle to fully fledged asset. He chaired the company throughout the whole tenure of
the investment and led the sale to Graphite Private Equity in November 2014.

"Recruitment is the heart and soul of what we do, and our passion is to continue to grow our group by partnering with the best individuals and companies in the sector."

TIM COOK | CEO | nGAGE SPECIALIST RECRUITMENT

This platform confirms Tristan’s passion to invest in the UK recruitment industry. Tristan created a recruitment group with over 150 years of combined management experience. His cultural influence on talent, with ownership and accountability for their own business – be that a desk, a division or a company – proved to be a real growth driver.

At the point of exit HCIG had created a reputation to:

  • Identify ambitious owner managers of high potential recruitment companies
  • Support rapid and sustainable growth by providing expertise, peer-to-peer learning and investment criteria
  • Target and acquire businesses that met strict investment criteria
